The DAB direct bank is considered the oldest online broker in Germany. At the beginning of 2016, the DAB – formerly the online subsidiary of the HypoVereinsbank – was taken over by the major French bank BNP Paribas. The takeover also brought with it a renovation programme for their new German branch in Munich.
