Netzwerk Boden is an association of flooring specialists as well as the most effective and largest network in the flooring industry in Germany. With the annual “Floor of the Year” award, Netzwerk Boden seeks to offer architects, craftsmen and building owners new inspiration for their projects time and time again. This year, the jury selected the tile back from OBJECT CARPET due to the health-promoting and especially environmentally-friendly properties of WELLTEX®.
The award ceremony took place on Tuesday, 14.01.2020 at the OBJECT CARPET booth in hall 11.1 at the imm cologne international furniture fair in Cologne. The festive award ceremony was hosted by Frank Wittkowski (Uzin Utz AG.). The association partners Katharina Pas (Netzwerk Boden, Key Account Management) and Norbert Renner (Managing Director of F.D. Biessel Fußbodentechnik GmbH) were present along with the OBJECT CARPET team, press representatives and other advisory groups from Netzwerk Boden. The award was accepted by the OBJECT CARPET Managing Director Daniel Butz.

WELLTEX® impressed the jury above all with its sustainable production method. OBJECT CARPET’s lightweight back construction is made of 100% recycled ECONYL® yarn from Aquafil and is free of bitumen, latex and PVC. As a result, carpet tiles with WELLTEX® are also well suited for allergy sufferers and are free of harmful substances that could pollute the indoor air. They also ensure better acoustics in the room. WELLTEX® acoustic tiles have been tested by the TÜV (German Technical Inspection Association) and received "Blue Angel" certification.
The innovative tile back from OBJECT CARPET has already won several awards, including the German Design Award, the Red Dot Award and the German Innovation Award.
